If you’ve been with us we started in 2015, thank you so much for being part of the community.
So, welcome to the 2020 Product Coalition global community. By the end of this year, we’ll likely represent as over 1m readers on Medium, 10k Slack members, and thousands of podcast listeners.
I used to welcome everyone personally, so apologies this isn’t written directly to you, however, if you reply, I’ll be sure to get back to you.
Every single member of this product community started like you. A little nervous to say hi in Slack, a bit nervous about writing on Medium and submitting an article for publishing, a bit worried about the shade of pink I chose for the branding.
I’ll be honest; things are ramping up for me with regards to Product Coalition content, so every week or two I’ll ping you an email like this one, with some material I think is worth your eyes or ears.
I’d recommend using this checklist to get the most out of this community.
- Set up a Medium account, consider the paid membership to support this ad-free platform, write something about anything you are passionate about, and submit it to the publication, share it in the #our-content channel of our Slack
- Grab a Slack invite and introduce yourself in the introductions channel, here’s a template if you’re a scardey-cat… “Hi, I’m XXX, my passion is XXXX when I’m not doing product things, and I call XXXXX home.”
- Hook yourself up to the podcast, in your favourite podcast player
- Follow our YouTube channel, for a full library of interview vids, and live broadcasts
- Follow me on Twitter, where you can also DM me
- Check out the Product Coalition European Tour to see what I’m doing to raise awareness and funds for the bushfire affected communities of Australia.
